Al-Ghashiyah 88:1–7

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ ١
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ٢
عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ ٣
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ ٤
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ ٥
لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ ٦
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ ٧
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming event? (1)
Some faces, that Day, will be humbled, (2)
Working hard and exhausted. (3)
They will enter to burn in an intensely hot Fire. (4)
They will be given drink from a boiling spring. (5)
For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant (6)
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. (7)
